Welcome to Tax Hub – Powered by IRIS OpenSpace – our secure, cloudbased document management platform.
With OpenSpace, you can exchange, review, and sign documents anytime, anywhere, without installing software. This guide will take you through:
- Setting up an account
- Account maintenance
- Navigating OpenSpace
- Completing the eChecklist

- You will receive an email from Vantage Accounting with the subject “Activate your IRIS OpenSpace account”.
- It contains a unique link to set up your password and access the Tax Hub.
Tip: Check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see the email.
Activating Your Account
1. Click the link in the registration email.
2. Verify your name and email, then choose a password. This must include at least one letter and one number.
3. Click Set Password.
4. Upon success, you’ll see a confirmation screen.
First Login
- Enter your email and new password.
- On your first login, agree to the IRIS Terms & Conditions.
Forgotten Password
- At the login page, click Forgot Password or go to:
https://www.irisopenspace.co.uk/Account/PasswordReset
- Enter your registered email and follow the emailed link to reset.
Changing Your Email Address
1. Click Account (top right) → User Details.
2. Enter your new email and click Update.
3. You will be logged out; log in again using the new email.
GDPR Reminder: Each account must have its own unique email address.
If multiple users currently share one email, please provide a separate email for each additional account.
Changing Your Password
1. Click Account → Change Password.
2. Enter your current password, new password (with one letter & one number), and confirm it.
3. Click Update.
Notifications
- Whenever we upload or request documents, you’ll receive an email alert.
- Emails contain a direct link to the relevant document or the main OpenSpace login.
- You can also enable browser notifications in your profile settings.
Dashboard Overview
- Upon login, the Dashboard lists:
- Folders (e.g., “Tax Year 2024”)
- Documents awaiting your review, signature, or upload.
- eChecklist status (“Not started”, “In progress”, “Finalised”)
Viewing & Downloading Documents
- Click a document name to preview in browser.
- Use the Download icon to save a copy locally.
- Signed or approved files are autoarchived in Completed.
Uploading Documents
1. Select the folder or open the relevant eChecklist entry.
2. Click Upload or Attachments.
3. Browse and select your file; click Save.
File Size Limits: Please compress files larger than 20 MB as uploads exceeding this may fail.
Using the Tax Hub
- The Tax Hub is your central workspace for all tax related items.
- Access it via the Tax Hub link in your welcome email or on our website.
The eChecklist helps us gather all information needed for your Self Assessment. Follow these steps:
Note: The eChecklist is optimised for laptop, PC, or tablet only. Mobile phone view is not supported.
1. Locate the Checklist
- On the Dashboard, click eChecklist → find your name under Not started or In progress.
2. Answer Fields
- Click the Checklist link to open.
- Fill in each field; click Mark as answered once complete.
3. Additional Information
- If your scenario isn’t covered by existing fields (e.g. Residency status, foreign dividends or you have new sources of income), use the “Additional Information” box, or email further details to tax@vantage-accounting.co.uk prior to finalisation.
4. Uploading Supporting Documents
- Within the eChecklist, click Attachments.
- Upload relevant files (e.g., P60s, dividend vouchers, rental statements).
5. Finalising
- Once all items are complete, click Finalise eChecklist and tick the confirmation box.
- Important: Finalising locks the checklist—no further edits are possible.
- If you need to add information after finalising, please email details to tax@vantage-accounting.co.uk.
